Inspiration:
Your office wardrobe doesn’t have to be boring. In the past 5 years style has switched up a lot, especially at the office. Theres no reason why one should be nervous to wear color or a few colors at work. Ive read a few LinkedIn articles about how the colors you wear at work represent your personality or attitude. For example: if you wear red it can be intimidating to your co-workers because its a sing of power. There are some other ones too which I personally think irrelevant nowadays. This look is perfect for the guy that likes layering and bold colors. If you took a look at the Stacy Adams shoes you would probably think ‘there is no way you can pair them with an orange puffer vest.’ I started from the shoe up with this look because of its bold color way and I think I pulled it off.
I wouldn’t advise you to wear a busy printed suit to a first interview or even this look because it maybe too lax, but who says you cant fun in your everyday (M-F). wardrobe. And most of all, be yourself.
The Look:
Black Tee: (here) // Navy Blue Cardigan: Grayers (here)// Orange Puffer Vest: (similar here) // Waxed Belt: Beltology (here) // Straight Chinos: Banana Republic (here) // Colorful Socks: Richer Poorer (here) // Stratford Monk Straps: Stacy Adams (here)
Bold Monk Strap: Perfect getaway from the traditional monk strap.
Slim chinos: Always office appropriate
Navy Cardigan: Love the shawl collar and elbow patches (not seen)
Orange vest: What makes this look come alive, try other colors too blue, yellow.
Black muscle tee: I buy athletic because of the moisture wicking technology.
Waxed cotton belt: I prefer these over leather for more elasticity
Colorful socks make the world go ’round
Try It: I challenge you all to try this combo at work and see how it works for you.
